Solar contractors

Solar customers want to know two things: what it costs and when it pays for itself. Enter the panel count and wattage, and the app sizes the system, estimates yearly production and savings, and puts it on a clean proposal with an honest estimate notice.

How you measure

  • Panels times watts per panel gives the system size in kW
  • Price the install by the watt, and add inverters, batteries and panel upgrades by the each
  • Yearly production and payback from sun hours and the customer's power rate
  • Add a confirmed local rebate as its own line; no tax credit is assumed

Made for solar

  • Sell the reroof first: roofing and solar on one job, each with its own crew
  • Proposal shows system size, production, savings and payback, marked as estimates
  • Order panels and racking from your supplier with a purchase order built from the job

For the owner

  • Crew cost, customer price and profit on every job
  • Each rep's sales and commission
  • Sub rate cards, W-9 and insurance dates, 1099 totals
  • Payroll, expenses and monthly profit and loss

Questions

Does the proposal include the federal solar tax credit?

No. The federal residential clean energy credit ended for systems placed in service after 2025, so the app does not assume any credit. If a local rebate or utility incentive applies, add it as its own line.

How is yearly production estimated?

System size times average daily sun hours times 365, with a 20 percent allowance for losses. You can change the sun hours for your area. It is labeled an estimate on the proposal.

Will my sales reps see my costs?

No. Reps see customer prices and their own commission. Costs, crew pay and company money never reach a rep's phone.

Do I have to use your prices?

No. The app starts with a list of common items so you are not starting from zero, but every item, unit and price is set by you.
